The Annecy Lake Marathon and Duo Marathon edition is organized by Annecy Haute Savoie Athletics (AHSA) and will take place on April 14th

The Annecy Lake Half Marathon is organized by Annecy Haute Savoie Athletics (AHSA) and will take place on April 13th

The Annecy Lake 10KM edition is organized by Annecy Haute Savoie Athletics (AHSA) and will take place on April 14th

The Annecy Lake 5KM edition is organized by Annecy Haute Savoie Athletics (AHSA) and will take place on April 13th

The Annecy Lake Nordic Walk edition is organized by Annecy Haute Savoie Athletics (AHSA) and will take place on April 14th

The Youth race edition is organized by Annecy Haute Savoie Athlétisme (AHSA) and will take place on April 13th

Art. 2: LOCATION

The Start/Finish Village will be on the Pâquier in Annecy, facing the lake. The course will take place on the shores of Lake Annecy.

Art. 3: PARTICIPANTS

The races are open to runners:

  • Born before 31 December 2010 (minimes to masters) for the 5km.
  • Born before 31 December 2008 (cadets to masters) for the 10km.
  • Born before 31 December 2006 (juniors to masters) for the half-marathon.
  • Born before 31 December 2004 (U23 to Masters) for the marathon.


MEDICAL CERTIFICATE AND LICENSE

Any participation in a competition is subject to the mandatory presentation, by the participants to the organizer:


  • An Athlé Compétition, Athlé Entreprise, Athlé Running license issued by the FFA, or a "Pass' J'aime Courir" issued by the FFA and completed by the doctor, valid on the date of the event. (Attention: other licenses issued by the FFA (Health, Management and Discovery) are not accepted);


  • Or a sports license, valid on the date of the event, on which must appear, by any means, the non-contraindication to the practice of sport in competition, athletics in competition or running in competition and issued by one of the following federations:
    • Fédération des clubs de la défense (FCD),
    • Fédération française du sport adapté (FFSA),
    • Fédération française handisport (FFH),
    • Fédération sportive de la police nationale (FSPN),
    • Fédération sportive des ASPTT,
    • Fédération sportive et culturelle de France (FSCF),
    • Fédération sportive et gymnique du travail (FSGT),
    • Union française des œuvres laïques d'éducation physique (UFOLEP) ;


  • Or a medical certificate of absence of contraindication to the practice of sport in competition or athletics in competition or running in competition, dating less than one year at the date of the competition, or its copy. No other document can be accepted as proof of possession of the medical certificate. It is imperative to attach it to the supporting documents when you register. No medical certificate in paper will be accepted.


  • The attestation document for minors


Participants with foreign licenses will still have to provide a medical certificate, in French or in English, mentioning the non-contraindication to the practice of running.

Art. 4: REGISTRATIONS

Registration for the race opens on 24th October 2023, and will close on April 07 at midnight.


Youth race : Free of charge


These registrations can be done directly online on the YAKA EVENTS website.


This registration entitles you to one of the following, depending on your registration:

  • 1 T-shirt or a pair of socks or a headband.
  • An optional medal (Marathon and half-marathon).
  • A jog the day before the races with our partner RUNMOTION.
  • Warm-up on the Pâquier on race day.
  • Chip timing.
  • Sports" refreshments (adapted to your race).
  • Your personalised virtual finisher's diploma (name/time/ranking) that you can download.
  • Numerous quality podium prizes.


PROJECT ECO RESPONSIBLE :

You will have, this year, the opportunity to help the environment though our races. You can decide to participate give 5% of your bib against your t-shirt, pair of socks, or head band.... Our project “BEES” is important to us and necessary for the planet. We will purchase beehives and make production of honey. The long-term objectives are to propose to our runners, high quality products using our honey.

We offer the following extras :

  • Guided tour of Annecy with a tasting of local produce: 30€
  • A Pasta Party at one of Annecy's most emblematic venues: 20€

Please note: The AHSA is unable to provide you with a proof of payment following any payment made via the test registration interface.

Art. 5: TIME BARRIERS

The time barrier is the cut-off time set by the organization to start from a point. It is a security element for:

  • Taking runners out of the race
  • Secure eliminated runners and organize their repatriation to the finish area

Those barrier will be 5h30 for marathon, 3h for half marathon, 1h40 for 10km.

These barriers will be placed on all races.

Art. 6: BONUSES AND REWARDS

Only competitors present at the awards ceremony will be eligible for rewards and bonuses. Any scratch rider (male or female) who does not show up for these protocols would be considered to give up any reward.

Art. 7: ENVIRONNEMENT RESPECT

In order to respect the environment and the natural spaces crossed, it is strictly forbidden to leave waste (paper, plastic packaging, etc.) on the route.


Garbage cans will be available at each fuelling station and COLLECTION AREAS will be installed and marked at different points along the route. They must be used by the participants in the events. They will have to store the waste and packaging while waiting for the places indicated by the organization to get rid of it.


If the judge is convinced, on the basis of what he has seen, of the report of an official, or by any means that an athlete has not respected the zones of cleanliness established by the organizer, he may be disqualified or be imposed any time penalty decided by the said judge.

The organisation is on its way to obtain an eco label.

Art. 8: DRONES

Participants are informed that on the day of the event, remotely piloted aircraft (drones) may be used for filming purposes.


The participants will be able to stand, during all or part of their participation in the event, at less than 30 meters from the aircrafts.


In the event of a major flight incident, an audible signal will alert nearby participants who will then have to move away from the aircraft.

Art. 9: RESTRICTION

The introduction on the site of the event of all objects likely to be dangerous or illegal, in particular drugs, firearms, blunt objects and explosive materials is strictly prohibited.


To access the site and to participate in the event, the participant expressly acknowledges and accepts that the organizer then calls upon security personnel who will be empowered to control both the persons and their personal effects. Any person wishing to access the site agrees to submit to this control. In case of refusal the person will not be allowed to access the site.

Art. 10: INSURANCE

As part of the organization of the race, AHSA has taken out, in accordance with the legislation in force, an insurance covering the financial consequences of its civil liability, that of its employees and of all participants of races. Regarding the liability of the participants, the intervention of this insurance for the latter is limited to the accidents that they could cause during the sporting event.


At the same time, participants are advised to take out insurance guaranteeing the payment of a capital in case of personal injury (death or permanent disability) due to an accident occurring on the race route. Compensation, depending on the damage and the limits of the guarantees chosen, occurs when the insured is the victim of an accident during his participation in the sports event. This insurance is optional but highly recommended. It may be taken out in addition to or in the absence of insurance of the same type held through a sports licence.


Finally, the organizer declines all responsibility in case of damage (theft, breakage, loss, etc.) suffered by the personal property of the participants. Participants will therefore not be able to turn against the organizer for any damage to their equipment.

Art. 11: PRE-RACE NUMBER DISTRIBUTION

Numbers and participant packs will be handed out the day before the races at the Pâquier site hosting the village. An e-mail will be sent to all participants to inform them of the place and time of collection.


Tickets will be issued on presentation of the following documents:

  • Identity document
  • Proof of registration
  • Medical certificate if not included in the online registration form.


Race numbers may not be collected at any other time.

Art. 12: RACE PROGRESS

On Saturday 13 April, the disabled half-marathon will take place at 8:15am, the half-marathon at 8:30am, the 5km at 9:30am and the youth races at 2pm. On Sunday 14 April, the disabled marathon will take place at 8.15am, the marathon at 8.30am, the 10km at 9.30am and the Nordic Walking at 9.30am. Regular refreshment points will be available every 5km.


Rubbish must be disposed of in the bins provided along the route. It is forbidden to throw rubbish on the course, otherwise you will be disqualified.


The course is signposted and kilometre markers will be visible every kilometre. The use of headphones and telephones is not recommended. You are responsible for their use. Participants undertake not to use any assistance on the course (bicycle, rollerblades, etc.) The number must remain visible throughout the course and until the finish line is crossed. If you lose your number on the course, you will be disqualified.


Any unsporting behaviour will result in disqualification. You will be given a snack at the finish.

Art. 13: SECURITY

The event security will be ensured throughout the event.

Security on the route will be provided jointly by volunteer signallers and members of the municipal police as well as security officers on the Pâquier Village.

The finish is strictly reserved for runners registered in the race. NO accompanying person or child will be accepted to pass the finish.

A principal medical point is planned at the finish of the race with Doctors and Rescuers. Different medical points will be also planned on the course on strategic points.

Art. 14: RESULTS

Results will be fully communicated upon arrival of the race if COVID measures allow. They will also be available on the event website and on social networks. They will also be communicated to you personally after the race.

Art. 15: TIMING AND TIME LIST

The timing of the race will be displayed at the finish and mid-course.

Art. 16: RANKING

Several categories will ba ranked on those races:

  • aMen Scratch Homme
  • Women Scratch Femme
  • Age categories (Men / Women)
  • Handi Sport (Armchair)

Art. 17: IMAGE RIGHTS

By participating in Annecy Lake 2022 Races, each participant expressly authorises the organizer, its rights holders or assigns to fix and reproduce, on any medium and by any means, and consequently to reproduce and represent, without remuneration of any kind, its name, voice, image, and more generally its sporting performance in the context of the Trial, in any form, on any existing or future support, in any format, for any communication to the public throughout the world, for any use, including for advertising and/or commercial purposes, and for the duration of the current copyright protection provided by law or regulation, judicial and/or arbitral decisions of any country and current or future international conventions, including any extensions that may be made to this term. Each participant expressly and irrevocably authorises the organizer, its assigns, in order to meet the requirements of advertising, promotional and/or commercial campaigns to 1) make any modification, addition, deletion, that it will deem useful for the exploitation of its image under the conditions defined above; 2) to associate and/or combine with its image, all signatures, hooks, slogans, legends, marks, distinctive signs, legal, visual and, generally any element of any kind chosen by the organiser, in particular to illustrate the communication media in which they are integrated. The participant guarantees not to be bound by any exclusive contract relating to the use of his image and/or his name and/or his voice. The organizer, his rights holders, his rights holders expressly forbid himself to use the name, voice or image of the participants in a medium of pornographic, racist, xenophobic, and more generally, prevent any exploitation that is detrimental to the dignity of the participants.

Art. 18: COMMUNICATION

By registering for the 2023 Annecy Lake Races, you agree to be contacted by AHSA in the framework of upcoming events to be organized.

Art. 19: MODIFICATION - POSTPONEMENT - CANCELLATION

If circumstances so require, the Organiser reserves the right to modify the route, the position of refreshment points and timing points at any time, to postpone the date and/or times of the event, to stop the event in progress, to cancel it or to set up an alternative route. If the event has to be cancelled for any reason beyond the Organiser's control that has the characteristics of force majeure as defined by article 1218 of the French Civil Code and by French case law, runners will only be compensated if they have taken out the cancellation guarantee offered by the event organiser.


Participants who have subscribed to the "Cancellation Guarantee" may request a refund of their registration under the conditions set out in paragraph "Art.22 Refund Policy".


Participants who do not wish to subscribe to the Cancellation Guarantee will not be entitled to any refund. However, in the event that the organisation is forced to postpone part or all of the events for any reason that would put the runner's life in danger or in the event of force majeure, the participant will automatically have a variable percentage of his or her registration fee carried over to the following year.

This percentage will be determined according to the date on which the decision to postpone may be taken:


  • Cancellation or postponement less than 6 months before the event: 80% of the registration fee credited
  • Cancellation or postponement less than 4 months before the event: 70% of the registration fee credited
  • Cancellation or postponement less than 2 months before the event: 60% of the registration fee credited

Art. 20: GDPR

In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, competitors have a right of access and restrictions to their personal data. Through the organiser, competitors may receive proposals from other companies or associations

Art. 21: COVID-19

Each participant has conscience of the impact of virus and particularly SARS Cov 2. He agrees to respect preventive daily measures.

Art. 22: REFUND POLICY & TRANSFER

As an exceptional measure, the organisers are stopping the transfer of race numbers from 27 March onwards due to the large number of requests received, in order to concentrate specifically on the success of the event.


Annecy Haute Savoie Athlétisme has a refund policy that includes the following terms and conditions.


PLEASE NOTE: All entries are personal, firm and final. No refund or change of event for any reason whatsoever will be accepted from the (45) forty-fifth day before the first date of the events.


However, to cover you in the event of cancellation, the organisers offer you the possibility of taking out optional cover when you register.


Cancellation guarantee

When registering, participants can choose the "Cancellation guarantee" option. This option only allows you to obtain a refund of the competition entry fee, minus a €4 administration fee, transaction costs and the amount of the cancellation guarantee, as well as any additional purchases (clothing, etc.) made at the time of entry.


Conditions for activating the cancellation guarantee


Case N°1

The participant is forced to cancel his/her participation for medical reasons.

Conditions: accident, serious illness, inability to run.

The seriousness of the illness or accident must be certified by a competent authority, which will issue a medical certificate in French stating that the participant is not contraindicated in running.

Conditions for compensation: All requests for reimbursement must be accompanied by a medical certificate stating that you are unfit for sport, no later than 2 days before the event, by making the request directly from the event support service on the website in the form of a contact form (Chat).


Case N°2

In the event that the organisers have to cancel or postpone all or part of the events for any reason that would put the runner's life in danger, or in the event of force majeure, only those people who have taken out the "cancellation guarantee" will be able to request a full refund of their entry fee, on simple request and without providing any justification. (minus €4 administration fee, transaction fee and cancellation guarantee).


TRANSFER & CHANGE OF EVENT

Change of event :

  • If you change events (e.g. from a 10km to a half-marathon) à Pay the difference from your customer area. No additional charges
  • If downhill (e.g. from half-marathon to 10km) no refund. No additional costs


Attention : Changing to a different event is allowed only if there are available bibs for the desired event. If any of the events are full, we regret to inform you that the event change cannot be processed.


Transfer of race number (Riders of the same sex, up to 15 days before the date of the event) :

  • Fee of €10 per race number


All requests must be made via the event support service on the website in the form of a contact form (Chat).

Art. 23: HANDI SPORT

The organiser must put in place specific resources to ensure the safety of competitors in accordance with the Handisport Road Race regulations issued by the French Handisport Federation (these regulations are published in a circular). The organiser must indicate on Calorg whether his event is suitable for disabled athletes and must draw up a separate classification from the general classification (refer to the FF Handisport regulations).


Visually impaired athlete:

  • Blind or partially sighted athletes and their guides are inseparable;
  • The athlete may only have one guide;
  • As far as possible, the guide must be identified as such by the word "guide" on his/her race number or a brightly coloured, easily identifiable vest.


Wheelchair athlete:

Helmets and gloves must be worn in accordance with current regulations;


For reasons of steep gradients, sloping sections or safety risks, wheelchairs may not be authorised. Running regulations - Applicable from 1 September 2022.


Wheelchairs with pedals are the responsibility of the Cycling Federation and are therefore prohibited.


Joëlettes :

Joëlettes may take part provided they are positioned behind the competitors at the start and the number of accompanying persons is limited to 6. A single chip will be allocated to the group on the joëlette.


These companions will be given race numbers, but will not be included in the general classification, which will only include the Joëlette.


Accompanying persons are registered for the race in the traditional way, with presentation of a valid medical certificate.

and must specify that they are accompanying a joëlette.


For the person in the joëlette: a medical certificate must be provided to validate medically that the person can, without any particular difficulty, take part in the duration and weather conditions of the event.

Art. 24: RULES ACCEPTANCE

By registering for the Annecy Lake races 2023, you acknowledge that you have taken note of these rules and agree to comply with them.
